Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how to exercise your rights.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

This policy explains what RolloutReady ("we", "us") collects when you visit rolloutready.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can get away with, and we do not sell personal data.

Who we are

RolloutReady is an independent publisher of technology implementation guides. For any privacy question, contact [email protected].

What we collect

  • Email subscribers. If you subscribe to our newsletter we store your email address, the date you subscribed, your subscription preferences, and basic delivery statistics such as whether an email was opened or a link clicked. You give us this voluntarily and can remove it at any time.
  • Account members. If you create a free account, we store your email address and any name you choose to provide, so we can sign you in and show your subscription status.
  • Comments. If commenting is enabled and you post a comment, your display name and comment text are stored and shown publicly.
  • Messages you send us. Emails and form submissions, including whatever you choose to put in them, kept as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
  • Technical and usage data. Standard server logs and privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics: pages viewed, approximate country, referring site, browser and device type. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not attempt to identify individual readers from this data.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not share your email address with advertisers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and our content is written for the adults who administer technology, not for pupils.

Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember display preferences. Where analytics or embedded content (for example a video or a form) set additional cookies, they are described in the consent notice shown to you, and non-essential cookies are only set if you allow them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; signed-in features will stop working if you block the essential ones.

  • Consent — newsletter subscriptions and non-essential cookies. Withdraw it at any time.
  • Contract — running your account or delivering something you asked for.
  • Legitimate interests — keeping the site secure, preventing abuse, and understanding aggregate traffic so we know what to write next.
  • Legal obligation — where we must keep records or respond to a lawful request.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors to run the site: our publishing platform and hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and our analytics provider. They process data on our instructions only, under contract, and may store it outside your country — where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

Subscriber and account data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, plus a short period in our backups. Correspondence is kept for up to two years. Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you may be kept indefinitely.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or port it elsewhere. California residents may additionally request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and may opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" — we do neither. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You will never be treated worse for exercising a privacy right.

Unsubscribing

Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. It takes effect immediately and we do not ask you to explain why.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, administrative access requires strong authentication, and we keep the number of people who can reach subscriber data to a minimum. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.

Our guides link to vendor documentation and other external sites. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies, and we are not responsible for how it handles your data.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and we will notify subscribers by email before any material change takes effect.
